News From Iran

TCV reports on some not so new rhetoric, still coming from Iranian President Ahmadinejad:

On Thursday, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke before an emergency meeting of Muslim leaders in Malaysia. Ahmadinejad told the group that the way to end the fighting in Lebanon was to "destroy Israel".

One could just as easily say that the way to end fighting in Lebanon would be to kill all Muslim terrorists there. In fact, I think I will. The way to end fighting in Lebanon is to allow Israel to kill all of the Muslim terrorists who have set up shop there.

I should point out again that Ahmadinejad sounds like a liberal college professor every time he calls for an end to "the Zionist threat." Just an observation.

In another story, TCV reports that Iran is releasing Osama Bin Laden's son from "protective custody" so that he can fight Israel:

The German newspaper Die Welt announced Thursday that one of terrorist Osama bin-Laden's sons, Saad bin-Laden, has been released by Iran to fight against Israel. Iran is said to have released Saad from Iran on 28 July.

Senior al-Qaeda terrorist leaders are said to be in Iran under "protective custody". Saad is said to have been chosen by his father as his successor in the 'war against the Western world and Israel'.

Saad is reported to have been dispatched to the Syria-Lebanon border, in order to establish, recruit and train new terror-cell members.

If this doesn't tell you which side of this conflict Americans should support, then I don't know what will. Do you want to be on the side of a democratic Jewish state that is trying to protect its borders and its people from constant attack, or on the side of Muslim terrorists who launch missiles from schools, hospitals, UN outposts, and mosques and now have Osama Bin Laden's son fighting for them?

An easy decision for conservatives, but oddly, not for liberals...
