Everyone in Ireland Uses Cocaine Says Study

Shock:

DUBLIN (AFP) - Irish researchers found traces of cocaine on every single banknote contained in a random sample tested in a study of drug contamination of currency, Dublin City University (DCU) has said.

Researchers voiced suprise [sic] Thursday at the 100 percent figure, which compares for example to a recent US study which found two thirds of dollar bills tainted by the drug.

Every one of the 45 banknotes sampled tested positive for trace quantities of cocaine, according to the research results published in the Royal Society of Chemistry's journal, the Analyst.

Traces of heroin were also detected on three of the notes.

Okay. The significance here is?

"This is the largest sample of notes ever used in an experiment of this kind in Ireland", Bones said.

Is money hard to come by in Ireland? 45 notes is the largest amount ever tested?

Anyway, the story goes on to inform you that the "100 percent figure" is "shocking" about thirteen more times.
