Nature Can Be a Bitch

Speaking of funny stories about animals I hate dying:

Ralph the whale shark, a star attraction at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, died suddenly in his tank of unknown causes, aquarium officials said.

Can you imagine being in the crowd or what-have-you when their Whale Shark died? I would have paid a good deal of money to have been there.

Unfortunately, it's one tragedy after another in Georgia:

The 22-foot-long shark, whose death follows the euthanization [sic] of a beluga whale named Gasper at the aquarium Jan. 2, stopped swimming in his tank Thursday afternoon, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday.

To quote the aquarium's CEO, "Sometimes, nature is that way. It can be cruel in terms of back-to-back tragedies." Nature, you bastard! How could you take Ralph and Gasper from us!?
